Job Description

Responsibilities
The focus of the Chief Marketing Officer role will be to establish and accelerate B2B (schools) customer growth. This is a key leadership and strategic role for the business, so it is essential you have prior experience of working in a startup or a high growth environment. You are able to work both strategically, yet hands on, across all acquisition channels. Your skill set will be aligned to B2B channels including; paid marketing, retail channels, events, online, business development and partnerships. You will report directly to the CEO.
More specifically you will be responsible for:
Creating and executing a growth strategy across all acquisition channels (paid marketing, field marketing, events, retail, tech partnerships, social, organic, etc.) while simultaneously optimizing a budget and headcount around the strategy
Development and implementation of strategic marketing plans, sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
Planning and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail
Meeting key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
Preparing periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
Reviewing and analyzing sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
Directing staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.
Monitoring the product landscape.
Carrying out market channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals
Developing and maintaining relationships with key strategic partners
Travel:
15-20% Travel may be required

Required Education and Experience
Master’s Degree with 10-12 years of experience in sales and marketing, experience in the education sector is a plus
Experience of working in a startup is preferred
